About TextJanitor

Why it exists

Text is messy. It arrives from PDFs with broken lines, from emails with strange spaces and from drafts that are a few hundred words too long. TextJanitor started as a simple idea: a clean, fast place to fix all of that without signing up for anything.

Who runs it

TextJanitor is built and run by an independent developer, with no investors and no sales team. It is a small project, kept simple on purpose.

What makes it different

• Private by design. Your text is processed in your browser and never sent to our servers.
• Fast and light. Plain pages with no heavy frameworks and no sign-up walls.
• Honest. Where a result is an estimate, such as reading time or syllable counts, we say so.
• Easy to understand. Every tool comes with a plain explanation, examples and answers to common questions.

How it is funded

TextJanitor is free to use and is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are clearly labelled, they sit away from the tools, and we never ask you to click them. You can read how advertising and analytics work in the privacy policy.
